Normaltown got it’s name from the former State Normal School, which trained school teachers in the “Norms” of education. Contrary to its dreary moniker, this thriving neighborhood is one of the hottest and most thriving parts of Athens.

Adjacent to both the Boulevard and Cobbham neighborhoods, and anchored by the Athens Regional Medical Center and the UGA Health Sciences Campus, Normaltown residents enjoy walkable neighborhoods, a slew of hip restaurants and bars, and convenient access to all of Athens and the Loop, while keeping a pleasant distance from the downtown and game day crowds.
