Sara Watwood grew up in Marietta, GA and moved to Athens in 2004 to attend the University of Georgia.  After graduating with a BBA in Marketing from the Terry College of Business, Sara began her career in Athens with Northwestern Mutual. During the 8 years Sara spent at Northwestern Mutual she worked in several different capacities and gained invaluable experience in recruiting and development, risk management and insurance, office management, and what it means to provide excellent client service for a top-tier Fortune 500 company. Sara also headed up two office moves, including the design, layout, and complete build out for the District’s current office in the LEED Gold certified Skyline Terrace development downtown.

Sara met her jack-of-all trades husband, Aaron, their senior year at UGA. They married and purchased their first home together, a charming 1930’s bungalow in Normaltown, two years later in 2009. Together they have renovated three homes and have developed a keen vision for the potential in properties that are outdated, unloved, or especially quirky. Sara and Aaron have four young children and cannot imagine a better community to raise them in. Their girls currently attend Winterville Elementary in the Clarke County School District, where Sara serves on the Parent Advisory Board, and they are active members of Redeemer Presbyterian downtown.
