Purchasing a home can often be an emotional time, but your 3tree agent is here to help with their knowledge and experience. They will pull comparable homes to allow you to take into consideration factors such as location, condition of the home and of the market, and price to be sure you are making a sound and appropriate offer. Offers are more than a price point. Think of them with three components: price, terms, and contingencies
- Price: the dollar amount that you are offering.
- Terms: these factors include, but are not limited to, financing, timing, seller paid closing costs, and logistics of the offer.
- Contingencies: these are clauses that work in your favor to protect you in the event a problem arises and you need to back out of the contract for a particular reason. These contingencies are generally included in the initial offer.
It is important to keep in mind that there is usually some back and forth when it comes to agreeing on a purchase and sale agreement. Buyers and Sellers equally want to come out with a good deal, so keep in mind that all sides want to “win”. Your agent will help you negotiate an offer that is reasonable and appropriate.
