OUR OCONEE COUNTY LISTINGS
Featuring some of the most highly rated public schools in the state, Oconee County is made up of several towns interconnected by rolling hills and open farmland. A rapidly growing, tight knit community, it is a pleasant reflection of days gone by. Your local baker may be your neighbor and Friday nights are still spent at the local high school football game cheering on the team. A perfect place to get a generous home on a proportionate lot, Oconee features many planned communities and neighborhoods. A great place to consider new construction, Oconee has something for everyone and is the stuff the American Dream is made of.
The City of Watkinsville
Downtown Watkinsville is a delightful community within walking distance of eleven restaurants, a coffee shop, and bakery. With multiple green spaces including Watkinsville Woods, Harris Shoals Park, and Rocket Field, you have plenty of opportunities to exercise, play, and interact with others in the community. Watkinsville is also the home of OCAF, a thriving artist community and there are art installations around town. Watkinsville has a weekly farmers market, monthly First Saturdays, and multiple festivals throughout the year. There are a variety of home sizes and price points from new construction to historic antebellum homes.
WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY ABOUT OCONEE COUNTY
experience the best of cultural and agrarian living
I live in downtown Watkinsville, a couple of blocks from Rocket Field. Rocket Field is a baseball field, mostly for Little League, a football practice field, the location of the Oconee Chamber of Commerce Fall Festival, a dog park, and a parking area for OCAF events. It gets a lot of use. Lots of people walk the perimeter. We have a lot of walkers and dog walkers and bicycle riders. They are the glue that binds us together. Everyone walking eventually becomes recognizable, and therefore easy to wave to or chat with. It makes the community feel good - to get to know your neighbors if you wish.
